turboboost-disable

FOR DISABLING INTEL TURBOBOOST

Run: sudo install.sh

To install this service / command.

When you install this, the service automatically disables turboboost.

Want to re-enable turboboost permanently?

WARNING: the following will enable turboboost permanently unless you re-enable the turbo-disable.service.

You can do this easily:

sudo systemctl disable turbo-disable && sudo systemctl stop turbo-disable

(the above disables the service that keeps turboboost off)

install.sh also installs a new command called: turboctl

You can use turboctl command to momentarily turn on / off turboboost (until reboot).

Turn on turboboost momentarily:

sudo turboctl on

Turn off turboboost momentarily:

sudo turboctl off

Check status of turboboost (on / off):

turboctl status

Even if you disable & stop the service, you can still manage turboboost being on / off using turboctl.
